Governor Sindh vows to revitalise Karachi's vitality

KARACHI: Governor Sindh, Kamran Khan Tessori, held a press conference yesterday, outlining his vision to revitalize Karachi's cultural scene. He announced that literary events and mushairas (poetry recitals) will continue to promote the city's rich heritage.
Governor also invited the public to participate in a global mushaira on February 8, which he will attend. He emphasized the need to restore Karachi's glory, lamenting that the city has become plagued by traffic terrorism and killer dumpers.
The Governor urged the Sindh government, provincial minister, and IG Sindh to take action against these killer dumpers, warning that he will be forced to take a stand if no action is taken. He demanded that those responsible for playing with human lives be brought to justice.
Meanwhile, Governor Sindh visited the Aga Khan Community in Clifton yesterday, where he met with prominent members of the Ismaili community. The Governor offered his heartfelt condolences on the passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, the spiritual leader of the Ismaili community.
Governor Tessori prayed for the forgiveness and elevated status of the deceased, and for the patience and solace of the bereaved family. He expressed his solidarity with the Aga Khan community during this time of grief, saying, "I am with you in this hour of sorrow."
Tessori praised Prince Karim Aga Khan IV as a humanitarian who worked tirelessly for the betterment of humanity. "Today, we are deprived of his presence, but his services to humanity will always be remembered," he said.
Governor Tessori acknowledged the late Prince's contributions to the welfare of humanity, saying, "His efforts for the betterment of humanity will always be a reminder of his selfless service."
