Governor Sindh inaugurates 28th HVACR Int’l Expo and Conference

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori inaugurated 3-day 28th Pakistan HVACR International Expo and Conference 2023 at  Expo Centre here yesterday. Pakistan’s Largest HVACR Exhibition and Conference is being organied by Karachi Chapter of Pakistan Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration (PHVACR) Society in collaboration with ASHRAE Pakistan Chapter of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Event will showcase latest technology and developments in local and international HVACR sector.

In Pakistan we have such people who are working on climate change and this is issue which should be highlighted. Tessori extended full support to organisers. Around 15,000 professional visitors are expected to attend event, whereas, more than 150 companies are putting up their stalls in expo which will showcase their products through more than 13,300 square meters exhibiting space in 3 halls and 1 hall dedicated for international conference with this year theme ‘Sustainability through Energy Efficient Approaches’.

HVACR sector is supporting economy by generating revenue through advanced technologies and fighting unemployment and also encouraging related industries. Economic survival should depend on maximum exports so as to reduce our dependence on imports, we have to adopt strategy that can successfully compete with foreign products and techniques, he added. President KCCI Tariq Yusuf, President ASHRAE USA Farooq Mehboob, President Pakistan HVACR Society Ahmed Nawaz and members of Executive Council were present in event.  Governor said that participation of distinguished delegates from America, Germany, China, Thailand, Turkey, Spain and Middle East countries are welcomed. He said that the HVACR industry is gaining lot of importance across world as it plays major role in industrial growth. Process of refrigeration is playing an important role for food processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, textile, plastic and chemical industries.

Meanwhile, Governor in another event while addressing said that with support of Unity Foods, ration bags are being distributed to deserving people. This time initial phase of powerful Pakistan is continuing with support of Unity Foods Company. Under programme ration bags are distributed to one lakh people. Addressing ceremony of distribution of ration bags to deserving people at Governor House he said that one ration bag will meet needs of five people for month, ration bag weighing 27 kg contains various items.

Moreover, Balochistan Governor Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar met Governor. They discussed political situation, economic challenges and measures to deal with them besides provincial coordination, exchange of delegations in various fields and other matters of mutual interest.
