Governor Sindh commends role of artists for enhancing Pakistan’s soft-image globally

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori in meeting with the delegation of prominent showbiz celebrities appreciated their work for promoting soft-image of Pakistan across the globe.

The meeting held at the Governor's House in Karachi. The delegation included Adnan Siddiqui, Mahmood Aslam, Hina Dilpazeer, Faisal Qureshi, Ayesha Umar and others.

Governor Sindh said that artists are an important part of the society. They highlights social issues and the existing societal problems with versatile acting skills and added that Pakistan's artists possess extraordinary level of talent and proficiency.

Later, the artists also visited different parts of Sindh Governor’s House including the Quaid-e-Azam’s historic room, Taqatwar Ration Programme initiative, mega IT programme etc.

He further said that during his recent visit to the neighboring country, he felt that every basic facility is available to the poor man there, they are prosperous despite the restrictions, but we have gone too far in sectarianism, nationalism and religious hatred.

The city of Karachi is becoming a hub of criminal activities, we are growing and moving ahead sans any direction. He said that there is a need to form a primary education commission on the pattern of HEC.

He said that the doors of the Governor's House have been opened for the public, ration has been distributed to more than 2 lakh people, and staff is present 24 hours a day keeping an eye on the Bell of Hope to listen to the complaints of the people.
