Governor Sindh calls caretaker ministers to ponder traders’ issues

Islamabad: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori held separate meetings with caretaker Minister for Finance Shamshad Akhtar, caretaker Minister for Commerce and Industry Dr. Gohar Ejaz and caretaker Minister for Energy Muhammad Ali here yesterday.

In meeting, on instructions of Prime Minister, proposals were presented to caretaker ministers in order to solve all issues being faced by businessmen of Karachi.

Caretaker PM had directed Governor to conduct detailed consultations with relevant institutions regarding proposals. Governor invited caretaker ministers to visit Karachi.

Governor said that common citizen as well as industrialists are equally worried about electricity load shedding and increase in rates. He said that economic development of country depends on industrial activity. Tessori said that ordinary citizens, traders and industrialists are equally worried about unannounced load shedding of electricity.

Minister for Energy Muhammad Ali assured Governor of resolution of problems of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Minister said that he will visit Karachi this week will meet businessmen to listen their issues. In meeting, caretaker Minister discussed reforms under consideration to improve energy sector. He said that large-scale crackdown has been started against electricity theft in country. Governor assured him of cooperation in campaign against electricity theft.
