Gov Tessori’s message on Black Day against Indian occupation of Kashmir

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said that United Nations member states have collective responsibility to ensure that India complies with its international obligations. He said that resolutions of United Nations Security Council and wishes of Kashmiri people accordingly, Kashmir dispute should be resolved through peaceful means as this is only way that can ensure lasting peace and stability in South Asia. He said that Pakistan will stand shoulder to shoulder with Kashmiri people. In this regard, Pakistani people will continue to provide all possible help to Kashmiri brothers and sisters until right to self-determination is achieved. He said that despite terrible state terrorism of Indian atrocities, Kashmiri people are determined. He said that today people of Pakistan are observing day as condemnation of India’s illegal occupation of Kashmir and their unwavering support for people of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Governor presided over special convocation of Indus University in Governor House. Consul Generals of UAE, Oman and those who have showed significant roles in various fields of life were awarded with honorary degree of Doctor of Philosophy. Tessori said degrees and medals are being given to appreciate those who have served in this province. He said that ambassador of UAE and Oman played role like brothers.
Chairman Senate was supposed to honour recipients but he could not come as he was abroad.
Consul Generals of Oman, Chief Executive of Tesori Group, Muhammad Akhtar Tessori, Maulana Bashir Farooqui of Saylani Trust, Zafar Abbas of JDC, Sir Ziaullah Khan and others were included.
