Gov Tessori, Sri Lankan member Parliament discuss trade, investment

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Sri Lankan Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa discussed
Pakistan-Sri Lanka relations, increasing cooperation in various fields and investment opportunities in province. Governor said that increase in economic cooperation between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is in interest of both countries. He said that there are vast investment opportunities in province in health, education, energy and other sectors. Kamran Tessori said that cooperation in agricultural sector will also be beneficial for both countries. Governor presented members of delegation with culture of province Sindhi cap and ajrak. Later, Governor also gave lunch to members of delegation. Senator Salim Mandviwala was also present in meeting.
Meanwhile, Governor and Pakistan Navy Rear Admiral Azhar Mehmood talked on professional expertise of Pakistan Navy, its importance in national defense, role of Pakistan Navy in guarding maritime borders of country and matters of mutual interest. Governor said that Pakistan Navy has most prominent position among naval forces of United Nations, professional skills of Pakistan Navy are not less than any naval forces in world. He said that Pakistan Navy is playing significant role in guarding sea borders as well as preventing smuggling. Later, Rear Admiral Azhar Mehmood along with Governor visited Quaid-e-Azam’s Room.
Addressing participants of 53rd PN Staff Course, 21st Respondency Staff Course Governor said that these courses give you an opportunity to become strong, smart, professional and sincere leader. Seeing your sacrifices and passion, feeling of greatness of Pakistan Army increases, he said.
Despite situation and problems, Pakistan Navy continues to be strong in region, role of armed forces in dealing with national security challenges is valuable.
On other hand, Governor Tessori addressing Pakistan Entrepreneur Awards 2024 ceremony at Governor House said that situation of country is in front of all of you. How we can play our positive role for country, we have to move forward holding each other’s hands, everyone should contribute to development of country. He said that entrepreneurship is not just name for starting business, but entrepreneurs are driving force of economic development and social change. It is important to provide resources, guidance and favourable environment to business community for development of country. Governor urged government, private sector and all stakeholders to create more opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
