Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori on World Press Freedom Day in statement paid tribute to role of journalist community. He said that journalist is eyes and ears of society, even in difficult and unfavourable situations, journalist community has rendered excellent services. He said that World Press Freedom Day is day of renewal of journalists’ services. He said that there is no room restricting press freedom in any society. He said that role of journalism in establishment and continuation of democracy cannot be forgotten, freedom of press is very essential for formation of welfare society.

Journalist community has prominent role in fifth generation war, importance of journalists in conveying facts to public cannot be denied, he added.
