KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori approved Provincial Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Bill 2023. Bill provides legislation to amend Provincial Motor Vehicles Act, 1965. According to amendment, there will be fine of Rs 500 for allocating and not identifying seats for disabled/special persons in BRT buses, children up to 5 years of age will be exempted from fare while travelling in BRT buses. A fine of Rs 1,000 will be given for violation of use of doors, smoking, eating pan or snuff and spitting while travelling, corridor, or bus stop will be prohibited.

Meanwhile, Governor taking notice of news of disappearance of 4-year-old Ayesha during August 14 rally directed Additional IG Karachi to take all possible steps to find Ayesha. He directed to find out who took Ayesha from stage with help of CCTV cameras. He said that Ayesha’s parents should be fully supported in searching for girl.
