Gov Tessori announces to send citizens for umrah, Hajj

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori announced to send 75-year-old people who have not performed umrah and Hajj to Hijaz from their own pockets.

Talking to media after visiting Sindh Government Hospital Liaquatabad. Medical Superintendent Dr. Atiqur Rehman Qureshi welcomed Governor of Sindh.

Governor inquired about facilities available in hospital from patients and attendants. Governor said that I have made commitment to include media with my team and visit government schools and parks. He said that like emergency of Jinnah, Civil and Abbasi Shaheed Hospitals, there is need to improve facilities. He said that health insurance facility should be provided to common people in Sindh, so that they can get treatment in good hospital, because since 2016, health facility card is available to people across country. It is only province in which this facility has not yet been provided, what is reason why people of Sindh have not been able to benefit from this facility.

He said that as Governor, I will play my full role to solve problems of people, I will continue to serve people no matter what anyone says. Kamran Tessori said that you all know that I am visiting hospitals and markets every day, benefit of my visits is that media is showing everything. He said that since 1982, hundreds of plazas have been built in Karachi, but this hospital has not improved, nothing can be fixed on political grounds, if we cannot provide good treatment facilities to citizens.

He asked caretaker Health Minister to visit hospitals. Governor said he asked elderly people of area to form committee, come to me with complaints about your area, if you need ration or contact on 1366.

Meanwhile, Governor o attended meeting of Tablighi Jamaat in Orangi Town. He reviewed arrangements of Tablighi Jamaat in Orangi Town. He said that organisers deserve congratulations for successful organisation of such big gathering every year, this gathering has become symbol of Pakistan in terms of religion.

Large number of participants from country and abroad is proof of its successful organisation. Governor offered Tahajjud and Fajr prayer in meeting hall, special prayers were also offered in meeting for security and development of country.

On other hand, Governor attended Jamia Banuria Alamiya Khatam Bukhari (Annual Convocation 2024). Mufti Abdul Rahim ambassadors of various countries, scholars and foreign dignitaries participated in ceremony. Speakers paid great tribute to Governor for his welfare work. Governor congratulating organisers said that faith is refreshed by coming here. Mufti Abdul Rahim told direction of connecting with scholars. This work of service should continue and government should adopt this process.
