KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori gave assent to University of Larkana Bill 2023 and University of Mirpurkhas bill. According to bills, public sector universities would be established in both cities of province. Both bills were passed by Sindh assembly earlier this month.

In statement, Governor Tessori expressed desire to witness establishment of universities in each district of Sindh, ensuring access to higher education.

He underlined that these proposed universities would adhere to same rigorous academic standards upheld by renowned institutions including Karachi University.

"These universities will reflect same standards of excellence as at Karachi University and other universities in province," emphasised Tessori after signing ceremony. He said that establishment universities and their operationalisation was just around corner.
