Gov Tessori for ensuring foolproof security arrangements in Muharram-ul-Haram

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said that foolproof security would be provided for gatherings and processions during Muharram-ul-Haram. Talking to delegation of Jaferia Alliance led by Shabbar Raza who called on him at Governor House here Tessori said security measures for Muharram processionswere on afoot. They discussed close coordination with local administration, economic steps of federal government for strengthening of economy and other matters of mutual interest.
Governor said that all facilities would be provided to mourners throughout province. All district administrations have been directed to coordinate with relevant persons in this regard.
Governor said that desecration of Holy Quran was unacceptable as this incident had hurt Muslims around world. "I have written letter to Swedish Ambassador in Islamabad and strongly condemned incident", he said. He said that positive results of economic policies of federal government had started to emerge. "We all must contribute towards this in our own capacity, he opined.
Shabbar Raza thanked Governor for his assurance and said that acts of Governor on incident of Sweden reflected sentiments of entire Muslim Ummah. Former MNA Rehan Hashmi was also present.
Meanwhile, Governor donated his current salary to JDC. He handed over cheque equal to his salary for 9 months to JDC leader Zafar Abbas. This money would be used by JDC for public welfare. Zafar Abbas thanked Governor. He said that even before becoming Governor Tessori has helped in every difficult hour.
Moreover, French NGO Triangle Generation Humanitaire intends to work in fields of education, health and clean drinking water in province and its delegation led by Director Operation Ivan Deret met Governor.
Governor welcoming delegation hoped that its assistance would provide improved basic amenities of life to locals in province. Their plan to provide clean drinking water is especially commendable, Governor said. He praised contribution of Triangle Generation Humanitarian in various other countries of region.
Ivan Deret, Director Operations of French NGO informed that Triangle Generation Humanitaire is working since last 30 years and its projects are running in 12 countries of world.
