Gov Sindh, Chairman HEC discuss overall performance of universities

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and Chairman of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed discussed promotion and other issues of mutual interest besides performance of universities.

Governor said that steps are being taken to solve problems of public sector universities, in this regard Higher Education Commission can play a prominent role. He said that promotion of research in universities is need of hour and cooperation of Higher Education Commission in this regard is commendable.

He said that cooperation from universities of other countries in field of research is necessary because our students are not less than others in intelligence and their talents can be further highlighted by encouraging them. 

Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed informed Governor about initiatives of Higher Education Commission in promotion of higher education in province. Vice-Chancellor of Iqra University Wasim Qazi, Vice-Chancellor of Dewan University Muhammad Aurangzeb and Director of Higher Education Commission Sindh Javed Memon were also present.
