Gov reviews Aug 14 rally arrangements, public gathering

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori visited starting point of rally-Mazar Quaid. Commissioner Karachi, DIG Police East, Deputy Commissioner East, representatives of Pakistan Rangers, Resident Engineer Mazar Quaid were present. Governor reviewing arrangements for rally and public gathering on August 14 directed district administration and police officers to ensure fool-proof security arrangements. Later talking to media, he said that on August 14, Indian record of reciting national anthem will be broken.
Apart from this, spectacular fireworks will also be displayed which has never been done before. Kamran Tessori said that message to world is to be conveyed that Pakistani nation is one. He said that incidents like May 9 have damaged image of Pakistan. Now we all have to play role in improving image of Pakistan. Governor said that public welfare projects will continue in any case, adding that health insurance plan for low income people will also be started soon. Governor said he feels proud to be given title of Awami Governor, adding that will continue to do whatever he can for people.
On Independence Day, 5 plots, a car, 37 motorbikes, 10 laptops, 3 iPhone 14, Umrah tickets and cash prizes will be given by draw. President of Arts Council Ahmad Shah, JDC leader Zafar Abbas, Daniyal Naguri and Governor House officers participated in meeting. In meeting, security arrangements of rally, cultural programme were discussed in detail.
Governor said pledge to take all possible steps for defense, integrity and stability of motherland. National flags will be distributed among people during rally from Shahrah-e- Faisal to Mazar-e-Quaid.
