Golf Club hosts closing ceremony of 28th CNS Open Championship

Karachi: Ahmed Baig of Royal Palm Golf Club emerged victorious at 28th Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Open Golf Championship 2024, held at the Karachi Golf Club (KGC).

Four-day event concluded with a closing ceremony, where Baig secured the championship title, while Muhammad Shabbir of Margalla Greens Golf Club finished as the runner-up in the professional category.

Ceremony was graced by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, who served as the chief guest. In his address, Admiral Ashraf praised the efforts of Pakistan Navy, KGC staff, and the event organizers for their seamless execution of the championship.

He congratulated the winners, acknowledging their exceptional performance and the high standard of play that kept the event thrilling for participants and spectators alike. Additionally, Admiral Ashraf extended his appreciation to the sponsors and media for their continued support in promoting golf and ensuring the successful conduct of the championship.

The championship featured competitions across various categories, including Professionals, Senior Professionals, Junior Professionals, Amateurs, Senior Amateurs, Veterans, Ladies and Juniors. In the Senior Professionals category, Muhammad Tariq emerged as the winner, while Master Muhammad Ashass claimed victory in the Junior Pro category.
