Gold price per tola surges Rs500 in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a gain on Thursday, following an upward trend in the international market.
The price of gold per tola rose by Rs500, settling at Rs275,700. The 10-gram gold was priced at Rs236,368 after an increase of Rs428, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). On Wednesday, gold prices had remained stable in the local market. However, on Thursday, global gold rates saw an increase. According to APGJSA, the international price for gold per ounce reached $2,645, with a premium of $20, reflecting a $5 rise during the day. Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged in the local market, holding steady at Rs3,400 per tola. Globally, gold prices experienced little movement as investors awaited the release of the US payrolls data. The upcoming report is expected to offer more insight into the Federal Reserve’s future monetary policy decisions, influencing gold market trends.
