KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan saw an increase on Tuesday, following a rise in international rates. In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs1,000, reaching Rs276,000.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs857, settling at Rs236,625, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). This uptick came after a decline on Monday, when the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs700, ending at Rs275,000. On the international front, gold prices also saw a rise, with the price per ounce reaching $2,642, reflecting a $10 increase from the previous day, as reported by the APGJSA.  The price included a $20 premium.In contrast, the price of silver remained stable, holding steady at Rs3,350 per tola, with no significant changes observed in the market. This fluctuation in gold prices reflects ongoing trends in both local and global markets, where shifts in international rates impact the prices of precious metals in Pakistan.
