Gold price increases by Rs2,000/tola to Rs 262,100/tola

KARACHI:  Gold prices  rose in line with an increase in international rates.

In local market, price of gold per tola gained Rs 2,000, clocking in at Rs 262,100 per tola Ten gram gold was sold at Rs 224,708 after it registered an increase of Rs 1,714 per ten gram, according to rates shared by All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). Meanwhile, international rate of gold surged on Thursday. As per APGJSA, rate was at $ 2,503 per ounce (with premium of $20), an increase of $ 22 an ounce during day.  Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable at Rs 2,900 per tola.
