KARACHI: Price of per tola gold went down by Rs 1,000, private news channel reported quoting all Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association. According to data issued by Karachi Sarafa Association, price of gold (24 carats) fell by R 1,000 per tola to Rs 252,500 per tola, while price of 10 grams decreased by Rs 857 to stood at Rs 216,478 per ten gram.  In international market, spot gold climbed $ 26 an ounce to reach at $ 2,391.14 per ounce.

Spot gold was down 0.7percent at $ 2,432.29 per ounce, having hit its highest since July 18 earlier in session. Prices were just $ 51 an ounce shy of record high of $ 2,483.60 an ounce scaled on July 17. US gold futures firmed 0.1 percent to $ 2,476.10 an ounce. Elsewhere, spot silver fell 0.7 percent to $ 28.83an ounce, platinum lost 1 percent to $ 966.40 an ounce and palladium eased 0.4 percent at $ 921.97 an ounce.
