Former Pakistan pace bowling legend Wasim Akram on Wednesday urged the nation to go out and use the power of the vote on February 8.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Akram highlighted the importance of Election Day. "February 8 is an important day for the people of Pakistan."

"Somewhere inside us, we all want to change our fate, our system, and our way of life, and when we vote, we use that power to choose the best," he said.

'Use power of vote wisely', Hafeez asks citizens – Separately, former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez  urged the people to use the power of the vote wisely.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Hafeez said: “Election 2024 should not be a selection. Make sure all vote for a better Pakistan”.

He urged the citizens to vote for “better” Pakistan. “My request to all passionate Pakistanis is that voting is your power; use it wisely.
