Girls sweep top three positions in Karachi intermediate pre-medical exams

KARACHI: Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced results of 2024 Intermediate Pre-Medical examinations, with female students securing top three positions.

Chairman of BIEK Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah revealed results, noting that all three top positions in Second-Year Pre-Medical group were claimed by girls.

Dua daughter of Mubashir Ali Siddiqui from BAMM PECHS Government College for Women secured first position with 1,004 marks out of 1,100, earning an A-1 grade.

Shifa daughter of Tufail from Bahria College Karsaz stood second with 1,001 marks, while Syeda Saadia Mahfooz from BAMM PECHS Government College for Women claimed third place with 1,000 marks, both also receiving A-1 grades.

Controller of Examinations Zarina Rashid provided further details, stating that 29,149 candidates registered for Pre-Medical examinations, with 28,434 appearing. Out of these, 14,948 candidates passed, resulting in success rate of 52.57 percent.

Among successful candidates, 1,530 secured A-1 grades, 3,452 earned A grades, 4,194 achieved B grades, 4,127 obtained C grades, 1,606 received D grades and 39 passed with E grades.

Results are available on board’s website at www.biek.edu.pk and can also be accessed via BIEK Android app, which can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

Chairman Zulfiqar Ali congratulated successful students and announced that grand ceremony will be held to honour position holders from all groups, inviting their parents, teachers and media to celebrate their achievements.
