German investors discuss energy projects with Imtiaz Sheikh

KARACHI: A 14-member delegation of German investors discussed alternative energy projects in detail with Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Shaikh here.  Welcoming German investors for their interest in investing in energy sector in Sindh he said that provincial government will provide rich investment opportunities to investors.

While briefing investors on provincial government's policy of providing facilities, he said that there were vast alternative energy resources in Sindh. "We invite all investors to invest in energy sector," he added. Imtiaz Shaikh said that Sindh government will provide an open forum for investment in province.

"Sindh government is ready to provide all kinds of facilities," he added. He said that German investors were satisfied with Sindh government's efforts for investment in energy sector in province and had indicated to invest soon. He said that delegation had expressed interest in solar energy, generation of electricity from wind and waste and production of environmentally friendly hydrogen gas.

He said that meeting with delegation of German investors will help in providing foreign investment and local jobs in province, which will make country and nation prosperous and a new era of prosperity will begin.
