German envoy praises Umeed Foundation initiative

Karachi: Alfred Grannas Ambassador Federal Republic of Germany as chief guest at Umeed Foundation Women Vocational Training Centre attended certificates distribution ceremony at Islamabad Serina Hotel. He said that half of Pakistan population are women and such like initiatives would help to make women financially independent, he praised. Women empowered is key to success for any society.

Bushra Haris head of Umeed Foundation Vocational Centre briefed participants on ongoing projects of Umeed Foundation, through which 4,000 students have completed their education. Free sewing machines were distributed among women who successfully completed training.

Umeed Foundation started working in Pakistan in 2010. Vocational Centre of Umeed Foundation was inaugurated last year and today first batch of 20 students completed their training.

Umeed Foundation have plans to establish Free Medical Facility in slum area of Rawalpindi soon. Biggest project of Umeed Foundation is Al Moiz Academy, where 400 students are currently studying.
