‘German CG praises rising talent of Lyari women boxers’

KARACHI: German Consul Dr. Rudegar Lutz has said that I am very impressed by the talent of women boxers of Lyari and I hope that they will keep the name of their motherland Pakistan bright at national and international level.

He expressed these views on the occasion of the visit to the boxing club.

He said that the interest of men as well as women in sports is noticeable in Lyari. Apart from football, gymnastics, cycling, I was very impressed to see the boxing competition today.

Nadir Nabil Gabol, leader of PPP from Lyari has said that Lyari is the center of sports and cradle of peace and national and international players of football, boxing, gymnastics and many other sports were born from here.

 On this occasion, training and exhibition competitions were also held between women boxers. The guest of honor was presented with traditional Sindh Ajrak and other gifts.

Women leader Maria Kanwal thanked the guest and gave them a detailed briefing on the training of women boxers and their passion. On this occasion, President of Sindh Boxing Association Asghar Baloch, Vice President Abid Brohi, Secretary General Abdul Razzaq Baloch, former international boxer Muhammad Amin, Adnan Baloch and club coach Nawab Ali were present.
