George Clooney has expressed concern over increasing dominance of conglomerates in Hollywood, likening transformation to takeover of small businesses by giants like Walmart and Amazon.

In an interview with GQ UK, Clooney pointed out how iconic studios like Paramount are now viewed as ‘Mom-and-pop shops’ in an industry increasingly controlled by massive corporations. Actor said studios no longer invest in developing stars as they once did. Despite these changes, Clooney acknowledged there are more opportunities for young actors today, citing vast increase in available content.
