ISLAMABAD: District President of Pakistan Business Forum Syed Bilal Izzat Naqvi highlighted importance of establishing modern gemstones testing laboratory in country for getting qualitative finished products and due share in international market.

“Establishment of laboratory to check authenticity of gemstones will not only help to increase value of exports, but it will also ensure that reputation of Pakistan’s gems market remains intact,” he said in press statement issued here.

For purpose, he said gems industry needed government’s support to ensure quality and authenticity of gems before exporting them to international market.

Bilal Naqvi emphasised importance of gems market for country’s economy, particularly for export sector, urging government to provide required support and resources to ensure that market could flourish and contribute to national economy in more effective way. He urged government to provide incentives to those who were involved in gems trade besides extending full support for development of infrastructure to facilitate trade.
