Gaza: Total of 27,947 Palestinians have been martyred and 67,459 have been injured in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7, Gaza Health Ministry has said in statement, Reuters reported.

Some 107 Palestinians were martyred and 142 injured in past 24 hours, Ministry added.

Meanwhile, four top Middle Eastern diplomats reiterated calls for “Irreversible” steps towards recognition of Palestinian state during talks on Gaza hosted by Saudi Arabia, state media reported, according to AFP.

Meeting held as US State Secretary Antony Blinken concluded his fifth crisis tour of Middle East since outbreak of Gaza conflict was attended by foreign ministers of Egypt, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Jordan, as well as senior Palestinian official.

“In their meeting, ministers emphasised need to end war on Gaza Strip, reach an immediate and complete ceasefire, ensure protection of civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law and lift all restrictions that impede entry of humanitarian aid into enclave,” official Saudi Press Agency reported.

In addition, “UN has identified deep pockets of starvation and hunger in northern Gaza where people are believed to be on verge of famine,” according to Commissioner-General of United Nations Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA).

“At least 300,000 people living in area depend on our assistance for their survival,” he said in post on X, adding that 300,000 depend on UNRWA for their survival.

“Preventing access prevents lifesaving humanitarian aid. With necessary political will, this can be easily reversed.”
