Galaxy of bureaucrats called to appear before NA Special Committee on Feb 27

KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered Establishment Division for comprehensive briefing within two days on recommendations/directions of Special Committee on Affected Employees under Chairmanship of Qadir Khan Mandokhail-MNA.

This briefing was to be prepared in consultation with concerned Ministries/Divisions, to whom these were addressed, providing factual position and directions received from Special Committee of National Assembly on Affected Employees including any subsequent court decisions in matter. Views of Law Division and Parliamentary Affairs Division were also sought.

On other hand, galaxy of bureaucracy has been ordered to appear before 13 Members Committee by Chairman of Special Committee of National Assembly on Affected Employees. He has announced revised agenda for week-long marathon meeting starting from February 27 up to March 3 to check implementation status of previous directions/recommendations, especially on December 21, 2022 regarding regularization of employees. What were replies to show-cause notices issued to representatives of various departments? Committee wishes to know.

Committee has directed Secretary, Ministry of Interior Islamabad, Chief Secretary Government of Sindh, Inspector General of Police Islamabad, and Inspector General of Police Sindh in addition to others in addition to many others to ensure attendance of officers of Secretary Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resources Development, Naheed Shah Chairperson EOBI, Secretary Civil Aviation Authority, Amir Hayat CEO PIA, Amir Altaf CHRO PIA, Khakan Murtaza DG CAA and Secretary Railwayson February 27,  2023 as per directions of Committee regarding issuance of summons to all concerned.
