FUUAST’s newly elected office bearers takes oath

KARACHI: Newly elected office bearers of Federal Urdu University Art, Science and Technology (FUUAST) non-teaching staff grades 1-16 Gulshan Iqbal Campus took oath at a ceremony. Head of Saylaani Welfare Trust Allama Bashir Farooqi was chief guest. 

Acting Vice Chancellor of University Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ziauddin administered oath to newly elected office bearers of Association. Prof. Dr. Ziauddin said that every possible effort will be made to solve problems of non-teaching employees.  Officials of Anjuman Non-Teaching Staff including President Adnan Akhtar, General Secretary Syed Rehan Ali and others. 

Prof Dr. Muhammad Ziauddin said that oath is a pledge to Allah Almighty and office bearers have to fulfill their responsibilities according to rules of business.  He said that FUUAST is an important and prominent educational institution of country, therefore management with cooperation of employees will strive for development and prosperity of varsity.  

He said that efforts will be made to gradually regularise daily wagers as well as promotions of employees will also be made through departmental promotion committee.  He suggested in view of financial difficulties, fixed amount should be increased in various public and private hospitals and medical relief centres in order to provide health relief to employees. 

He warned of strict action against those who would act against interest of varsity. All possible steps will be taken to employ heirs of retired and deceased employees, he noted. 

Allama Bashir Ahmed Farooqui said that political situation in country is better but politicians are not sincere with country. Country is facing rising inflation, unemployment and crimes, he said.
