Safety pins are popularly used to fasten pieces of fabric or clothing together but it was fashion icon Elizabeth Hurley who first made them famous as fashion statement. Latest divas to have caught our attention include Dua Lipa, Janhvi Kapoor and Bella Hadid.
While their ensembles incorporated now-trending fad in one way or another, pins were styled differently on each of their outfits, standing out in their own special way. Pop star was a sight for sore eyes as she strutted down runway at Milan Fashion Week in a black Versace dress. Look was borrowed heavily from ensemble created for Hurley and one that catapulted her as well as luxury brand to stardom for Four Weddings and a Funeral premiere in 1994.
Multi-coloured safety pins added spunk to all-black outfit that featured long sleeves cut-out blazer and bodycon skirt. Black platform heels, poker-straight hair and minimal accessories completed her look. She threw on a loose denim blazer and opted for camel-coloured trousers and ankle-high black boots. Her denim, duffel-style handbag and vibrant bucket hat provided for perfect accessories.–Agencies
