Freedom is blessing, value it: Sindh DGPR

Karachi: Director General Public Relations Information Department, Government of Sindh and Press Secretary to Governor Sindh Muhammad Saleem Khan said that freedom is blessing and it is need of hour to apprise youth about importance of freedom and patriotism.

This he said during his address at Independence Day event organised by NCR-CET College. Editor-in-Chief of Daily National Courier Aneel Ahmed Usmani was also present. Khan said that nations who do not have their own independent homeland are being subjected to oppression.

“We should thank our ancestors dreamt of an independent homeland for Muslims of subcontinent and made it reality”, he added. He also said that day of March 23, 1940 is important in our history because Pakistan was formed within short span of just seven years of adoption of Resolution of Pakistan, which was result of dynamic leadership of Father of Nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Director NCR-CET Ghulam Mahmood Desmukh while praising DGPR Sindh stressed light on the significance of holding quiz competitions and other such events in educational institutions. He also told the audience that NCR-CET is the first college in Karachi which introduced online and e-learning teaching system 15 years back.

Later, Salim Khan distributed prizes amongst successful students in quiz competition. Ghulam Mahmood Desmukh presented him shield of his institution. National flag was also hoisted at the Pakistan Day event.
