Four security officials martyred in attack on Sherani checkpost in Balochistan

QUETTA: Four security officials were martyred when unidentified gunmen attacked checkpost in Balochistan’s Sherani district, local police confirmed. One attacker was also killed in retaliatory firing. Attackers fired rockets at Dhana Sar checkpost. Three policemen and Frontier Constabulary personnel embraced martyrdom. Search operation was launched in area following incident.

Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudus Bizenjo condemned attack, saying terrorists couldn’t demoralise security forces with cowardly acts. He said security forces were ensuring security of country and nation with firm determination and courage.

Balochistan Governor Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar strongly condemned hand grenade attack on security forces check post at Dahanasar. He expressed deep grief over martyrdom of security personnel.

In his condemnation statement, he said that all available resources should be used to bring those who were spreading fear and terror in society to sabotage peaceful situation in province. “We have to show national unity and consensus to thwart evil intentions of terrorists and saboteurs”, he said. Governor Balochistan prayed Allah Almighty to rest departed soul eternal pace and grant courage and strengthen to bereaved families of martyrs to bear losses with fortitude and speedy recovery of injured.
