Former MQM MNA joins PPP

KARACHI: Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan MNA Khawaja Sohail Mansoor joined Pakistan Peoples’ Party. Former MQM lawmaker made announcement in joint press conference with PPP Sindh chapter President and Minister Saeed Ghani. Saeed Ghani welcomed Khawaja Sohail and his supporters on joining PPP.
PPP leader Ghani said MQM did nothing for betterment of Karachi, adding that next Karachi mayor would be from PPP. He went on to say that two seats of Jamaat-e-Islami were reduced in vote recount.
Khwaja Sohail Mansoor who was elected as member of National Assembly from Karachi in general elections held in year 2008 and 2013 had left MQM-Pakistan last year in February 2022.
Talking to media, Sohail Mansoor said that he has developed differences with party over some of its policies.
