Islamabad: Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar has rejected allegations levelled by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Justice Retired Mian Saqib Nisar said in statement that lies do not suit Prime Minister who takes an oath to Constitution.
He slammed premier by saying that Shehbaz Sharif should not blame judiciary for hiding his failures. “Construction of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute costs billions to national exchequer but its operation theatre was not even functional when I was Chief Justice. Forensic report is also present on irregularities in PKLI.” Former Chief Justice said that Shehbaz Sharif should know facts before levelling allegations against any individual.
He rejected allegations that he wanted to appoint his brother to PKLI. Nisar blamed Sharif for levelling such allegations just to deceive nation. “Some officers were receiving millions of salaries who were already working in 56 companies.” Responding to another allegation, Saqib Nisar said that premier was raising an objection to opening court on Sunday. “It is Chief Justice’s right to open court on Sunday or not.”
