FM Bilawal visits flood-affected areas with diplomats, representatives of over 20 countries

SUKKUR: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari along with diplomats of more than 20 countries and representatives of international organisations visited flood affected areas of Sindh, Balochistan and KP yesterday.
Diplomats from Turkmenistan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Germany and Spain accompanied FM Bilawal during his visit to the flood affected areas. Also, United States, China, France, Japan, Italy, South Korea, Qatar and Turkey, as well as representatives of other international organisations including United Nations were also present during the visit.
Federal Minister Khurshid Shah and Sindh Chief Minister welcomed Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, and diplomats at Sukkur Airport.
During the meeting, NDMA officials briefed diplomats and representatives of international organisations regarding flood disaster at Sukkur Airport where they were also informed about the rescue and the relief measures being undertaken to tackle the natural disaster.
Diplomats of different countries and international organiations witnessed heavy destruction of loss caused by flashfloods during the visits to different parts of these provinces and expressed solidarity with people of Pakistan and government and their firm resolve to help out the people in this time of great difficulty which has badly impacted the lives of the masses, infrastructure, economy, livestocks and the agricultural belt of the country.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Foreign Minister Bilawal alongwith his team has been seen much concerned and active on ground since the time this natural calamity entered into Pakistan. Whether it is about gathering of donations for the grief-stricken one’s or taking on board the world leadership, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari remained consistent, committed to serve and help out the countrymen in time of severe crises as at present.
