Karachi: Minister for Information Transport and Mass Transit Sindh Sharjeel Memon said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his capacity as Foreign Minister has brought issue of desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden to draw attention of international community towards issue.
Bilawal has emphasised importance of respecting all religions and urged for sanctity of Islam to be upheld in same manner, said Memon while speaking at media corner before Sindh Assembly session. He stated that FM effectively conveyed his commitment to advocating for religious respect worldwide, anticipating international community to devise comprehensive action plan on promoting religious tolerance, ensuring that sentiments of followers of all religions are safeguarded from any form of harm in future.
He mentioned that Israeli statement has confirmed its alleged support for Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf. He highlighted previous incident where Chairman of PTI supported his Jewish brother-in-law over candidate of Pakistani origin Sadiq Khan in election for Mayor of London. He expressed concern over recent revelation of connections between certain politicians and Israel, which is significant matter of concern for entire Pakistani population. Affiliations of PTI are potentially perilous and need to be carefully addressed. He questioned relevance of Israelis support for Imran Khan.
When asked about Imran Khan, he stated that truth about PTI Chief was revealed late. It is unlikely that any honest Pakistani would have voted for or supported him. In response to question, he said that Pakistan consistently safeguarded its minority communities and their places of worship and this duty will be upheld continuously. In response to another question, Sharjeel said that if an individual is found to be acting as foreign agent, appropriate actions should be taken against him. He highlighted that it is unprecedented in history for Israel to publicly issue statement in support of Imran Khan.
Pakistan Peoples’ Party brought together Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Jamaat-e-Islami. In response to question, Sharjeel said that it is bitter truth that leader of political party was allegedly pursuing agenda of another country. In response to question, Sharjeel emphasised that Sindh will always maintain its status as province.
