FM Bilawal meets US Congressman, European counterparts

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with US Congressman Eric Swalwell on sidelines of Munich Security Conference.
They discussed Pakistan-US bilateral relations and regional matters in meeting. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto also met with President and CEO of International Crisis Group Comfort Ero on sidelines of Munich Security Conference. In tweet, Foreign Minister said that they exchanged views on regional and global matters during meeting.
Bilawal Bhutto held meetings with foreign ministers and leaders of different countries at Munich Security Council and discussed matters of mutual interest. He met his Saudi counterpart Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud and two pledged to increase cooperation of their countries in diverse fields.
Bilawal said Pakistan highly valued its brotherly relations with Saudi Arabia. He also held meeting with Foreign Minister of Finland Pekka Haavisto. Two sides agreed to take forward relations in sectors of education, trade and climate change. Bilawal welcomed decision of Finland to re-open its Embassy in Islamabad. He met with Vice President and Foreign Minister of Jordan Ayman Al Safadi and they agreed to expand bilateral ties and high level contacts between Pakistan and Jordan.
Bilawal also held discussions with US Senator Lindsey Graham and other members of Congress and they talked about issues of climate change and challenges faced by humanity.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also met with his European counterparts on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in a bid to enhance bilateral ties.
According to details, the foreign minister met with his counterpart from Norway Anniken Huitfeldt and they agreed to work together to stop the rising incidents of Islamophobia in the world.
During the meeting, both personalities reiterated the desire to further strengthen relations between Pakistan and Norway. FM also met with Vice President of the European Union Council Josep Borrell. He said Pakistan highly valued its ties with the European Union.
