In Karachi, a fisherman experienced an extraordinary turn of fortune, becoming a millionaire overnight by successfully catching the rare Shawa fish, also known as herring fish.

This particular species, often referred to as the golden Shawa fish, is valuable not for consumption but for its specialized use.

Miraculously, Haji Baloch, the fisherman, went about his routine of fishing for a livelihood, unaware that fate had something remarkable in store for him. On this particular day, his net brought in an astounding catch of 1,600 Shawa fish, a species highly prized for its utility.

The Shawa fish, sought after for its saturated fat used in surgical thread production, costs between Rs70,000 to Rs100,000 each. By multiplying the impressive catch of 1,600 with Rs100,000, the total value of these fish amounts to a staggering Rs160 million.

This unexpected windfall not only left Haji Baloch overjoyed but also highlights the miraculous nature of his newfound wealth through the precious and valuable Shawa fish caught in his net.
