First batch of Pakistani dried chilli arrives in China

ISLAMABAD: First batch of Pakistan’s high-quality dried chillies weighing 182 tonnes has finally made its way to Neijiang city of Sichuan Province, China, China Economic Net (CEN) reported. This significant shipment marks new chapter in trade relations between two nations and is expected to pave way for increased economic cooperation, said Khalil Hashmi, Pakistan’s ambassador to China.
Addressing ceremony for arrival and warehousing of dried chili under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Agricultural Cooperation Project, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi said that Pakistan, known for its flavorful and aromatic spices, has long been recognised as major exporter of dried chilies.
