Fire station to be set up in KU, says Administrator Dr Saif

Karachi: Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman said that fire station will be established in Karachi University in collaboration with KMC to tackle emergency. An ambulance, fire tender and mobile van have been provided so that teachers and students can benefit from it. University is identity of city, but it is city itself where students from different cities of country come to acquire knowledge.
Addressing signing ceremony of memorandum of understanding held at University in this respect he said on University compliant of vehicles in bad condition, administration agreed with this. KMC will provide training to employees of University who will work in fire station.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalid Iraqi said that land for fire station will be provided by University, provision of fire engine, mobile vans and coaster by KMC is commendable. Dr. Khalid said that University opted for these vehicles in this condition because these vehicles can be made usable after repair and renovation, transport department of University will soon repair and refurbish these vehicles.
Praising Dr. Syed Saifur Rehman, he said that whenever Administrator Karachi was asked to do any work related to University, he always gave positive response and completed work on priority.
Asim Ali, Muhammad Farid Siddiqui and Transport In-charge Dildar expressed their views and expressed their commitment will work together for improvement and development of University.
Dr. Syed Zafar Hussain, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Syed Asim Ali, Student Affairs Adviser, Dr. Qadeer Muhammad Ali, University Officers Welfare Association Muhammad Farid Siddiqui, Dildar of Transport Department, senior Director of Public Relations and Media Management Ali Hassan Sajid and officers were present.
