Fire erupts in oil refinery near Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: A major fire erupted in an oil refining unit in Ali Pur Chattha near Gujranwala. Rescue teams reached spot and started firefighting operation. According to rescue officials, fire erupted in boiler chamber of oil refinery, while five rescue vehicles took part in firefighting operation. Reports said that there was 25,000 litre crude oil in refinery.

Exact reason of fire couldn't be ascertained yet. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took notice of eruption of fire in oil refinery and directed immediate and swift measures for safeguarding public and staff deputed there. Premier also ordered an inquiry into incident.
