ISLAMABAD: Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb reaffirmed government’s commitment to improve tax collection through Federal Board of Revenue’s ongoing efforts in digitisation.

He was talking to regional head of Technology and Tax Mc Kinsey and Co Tom Isherwood here.  Finance Minister said that data from Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited and REMIT can be utilised in digitising FBR’s tax system. Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasised need for investment in technology and fostering cultural shift towards digital governance. He appreciated Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s for their support in engaging McKinsey and Co. for ongoing digitalisation of Federal Board of Revenue.
