FinMin Dar says govt determined to introduce reforms to achieve economic stability

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar said that despite inheriting weak economic legacy, government is determined to set economy in right direction and introducing reforms in various sectors to achieve economic stability and growth.

Chairing inaugural meeting of Reforms and Resource Mobilisation Commission (RRMC) at Federal Board of Revenue, he highlighted importance of Reforms and Resource Mobilization Commission in identifying issues and difficulties in exiting taxation system and suggesting reforms in existing revenue policies for resource mobilisation, ease of doing business and taxpayer facilitation to achieve sustainable economic growth.

SAPM on Revenue Tariq Mehmood Pasha, Chairman RRMC Ashfaq Yousuf Tola, Chairman FBR Asim Ahmed, Abdul Hameed Memon Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Dr. Veqar Ahmed, Ghazanfar Bilour, Ardsher Saleem Tariq and Tauqeer Ahmed attended meeting while Rana Munir Hussain President Pakistan Tax Bar Association, President FPCCI Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Asif Haroon, Haider Ali Patel, Abdul Qadir Memon and Ziad Bashir virtually attended meeting through zoom.

Extending best wishes and support to Commission he emphasised members to put their best efforts for fast track activity of Commission in introducing tax reforms for financial and economic stability and enhancement of revenue generation.

Ashfaq Yousuf Tola expressed his gratitude to Finance Minister for taking keen interest in notifying Commission including all level stakeholders and for detailed ToRs for comprehensive reforms.
