FIA summons Imran, arrest on cards

ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan today in a prohibited funding case against his party for allegedly submitting false affidavits to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). PTI Chief has been directed to appear at FIA’s Karachi office.
Khan had been summoned after an investigation team found that Shafi transferred Rs 562 million from Karachi to United Bank Limited’s Jinnah Avenue branch in Islamabad in a PTI account to which Khan was a signatory.
