FIA summons ex-Finance Minister Tarin in telephonic call matter

ISLAMABAD: FIA has summoned former Finance Minister (FM) Shaukat Tarin on September 21 in  alleged audio call leakage matter. FIA cybercrime circle Islamabad has issued summons to former finance minister Shaukat Tarin on matter of telephonic call between him and KP Finance Minister Taimore Jhagra.

He has been asked to appear in cyber reporting centre Islamabad on September 21. It has been said in notice inquiry against former FM Shaukat Tarin has been initiated on application filed by one Arshid Mehmood on September 15 on basis of Tarin telephonic call to KP FM Taimore Jhagra.

Addressing Shaukat Tareen in text of notice it has been said he is inciting Tamore Jhagra in telephonic call that KP government should not return additional amount of fiscal budget to federal government so that problems could be created between federal government and IMF. Shaukat Tarin has been directed to appear in person in FIA Cyber crime circle to record his statement. If he does not appear it will mean he has nothing to say in his defence.
