KARACHI: In significant operation, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested resident of Lahore outside US Consulate for attempting to obtain US visa using forged documents linked to cricket club.
Accused, whose identity has not been disclosed, was reportedly seeking visa based on these fraudulent documents when authorities intervened. According to sources, individual had acquired fake paperwork from an agent named Sajjad, for which he settled matters for sum of 32,000 UAE dirhams, equivalent to approximately 450,000 Pakistani rupees. Upon questioning, accused failed to provide satisfactory responses regarding legitimacy of documents he presented. FIA’s swift action underscores agency’s commitment to combating visa fraud and ensuring integrity of visa application process. Further investigation was underway to uncover more details about agent and any potential network.
