ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) moved Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking cancellation of bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Azam Swati over 'remarks against state institutions'.
According to details, petition seeking cancellation of Azam Sawati's bail was filed in Islamabad High Court following his speech at ceremony in Rawalpindi.
IHC Chief Justice Amir Farooq will hear FIA's petition today. In petition, it was argued that PTI Senator issued remarks against state institutions at ceremony in Rawalpindi.
It is pertinent to mention here that Islamabad High Court granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Azam Swati in controversial tweet case in January.
Federal Investigation Agency last year arrested PTI Senator in case related to controversial tweets against state institutions.
PTI leader was taken into custody by three-member FIA team from his farmhouse located in Islamabad's Chak Shahzad. A case was registered against PTI lawmaker.
