ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) once again failed to produce two Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) officials accused in leaking former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa’s tax data.

Anti-corruption wing had been ordered by Islamabad’s District and Sessions court to produce accused after completion of 14-day physical remand. However, judicial magistrate delayed matter during working hours making accused’s lawyers to wait for nothing.

Court has adjourned hearing until January 20. Earlier, FBR suspended from service two officers of Inland Revenue Service- Deputy Commissioners Atif Nawaz and Zahoor Ahmad after preliminary investigation in connection with leak of tax record details of Bajwa and his family, sources informed
