FIA decides to arrest PTI Chairman

LAHORE: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) decided to arrest PTI Chairman Imran Khan in prohibited funding case. As per details available Imran Khan will be arrested by FIA with help of Lahore Police, sources said. Furthermore, four-member team has been formed for arrest, while summary has been forwarded to DG FIA for final approval.
On February 2, Islamabad High Court dismissed a petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf against Election Commission of Pakistan's ruling in prohibited funding case.
It is pertinent to note here that Investigation Agency had registered case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief and 10 others over accusations of receiving foreign funding. Case had been registered by FIA Corporate Banking Circle.
Case's First Information Report stated that accused including former premier violated Foreign Exchange Act and all of nominated persons were beneficiaries of private bank account.
