FIA arrests three suspects in illegal currency exchange business

In Karachi, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) anti-corruption unit conducted a raid in the Jamshed Town area, leading to the apprehension of three suspects reportedly engaged in unlawful foreign currency exchange activities.
The arrested individuals, namely Mohammad Asif, Hafiz Faheem, and Imran Udmani, were allegedly involved in Hawala/Hundi transactions and operating an unlicensed illegal currency exchange business. FIA officials seized a substantial amount of foreign currency, including Omani Riyal, Canadian Dollars, 700,000 PKR, 10 million Iranian Rial, 8,946 Saudi Riyal, and 1,280 UAE Dirham during the raid, resulting in the immediate filing of a case.
