Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan announced to public rally in Hyderabad on February 24 Sunday. Party will hold power show in city’s Pakka Qilla ground. MQM-Pakistan has asked Hyderabad chapter representatives to finalise arrangements for February 24 public rally in city.

Announcement of rally came after MQM-P Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that his party has decided to take to streets along with public to get justice which Parliament, courts and political arenas failed to provide. Addressing first workers’ convention here at Pucca Qila ground last week, Siddiqui said “MQM Pakistan will take to streets for its demand.” MQM-P convener accused ruling PPP of rigging LG polls and taunted that everyone saw transparency of ‘free and fair’ LG polls in province. Siddiqui had said that PML-N, PPP and PTI had used MQM for survival of their government.

He clarified that MQM-P will no more facilitate any political party to establish and run their governments. Meanwhile, party expressed concern over hike in petroleum prices by government. In statement, political party stated that increase in prices of petroleum products will further increase inflation, impacting already inflation-hit people of Pakistan. MQM-P regretted that putting entire burden on citizens to save country from an economic crisis was ‘unfair’, advising coalition government to implement an agricultural tax instead to take additional tax from working-class people.
